awareness, susceptibility, and use of oral nicotine pouches and comparative risk perceptions with smokeless tobacco among young adults in the United States.
Research article regarding a survey conducted to ascertain the awareness of, susceptibility to, and use of oral nicotine pouches (NPs) in young_x000D_ adults as well as comparative risk perceptions with smokeless tobacco. Using self-reported survey answers interpreted using log regressions, the study attempted to find relationships between product perceptions and NP susceptability and use. This data indicated that Young adults reported awareness of, susceptibility to, and use of NPs and _x000D_that favorable perceptions of NPs versus smokeless tobacco may contribute to NP susceptibility _x000D_and use beyond known correlates like smokeless tobacco use. however, further_x000D_ research is needed to understand the full range of factors. It will be important to disentangle factors that are associated with potential _x000D_positive public health impacts (e.g., switching from smokeless tobacco to exclusive NP_x000D_use) from those associated with negative public health impacts (e.g., initiation among nicotine _x000D_naïve individuals).
